Alexander Skinner, Balintore, charged with breach of the peace at the house of his neighbour and maliciously tearing up 10 yards of alder hedge in the garden of his neighbour Andrew MacKay, 1 Ross Street. Skinner alleged the hedge restricted his right of way, the sheriff agreed with Skinner but still fined him 5 shillings [25p] or 3 days prison for the breach of the peace, fine paid.
