Hugh Ross, Bank St., Balintore, was up in court in Invergordon charged with being drunk and disorderly and assaulting the policeman trying to take him into custody. He pleaded guilty, £5 or 30 days. His friend Andrew Skinner, Shore Street, Shandwick, was charged with attempting to rescue Hugh from the clutches of the law and obstructing the police in their lawful duty. He also pleaded guilty, £5 or 30 days.
