David Vass, a fisherman from Balintore, was cycling opposite Walker’s Garage in Tain, when he was struck by a heavy landaulette which was out on a trial run and returning to MacKay’s Temperance Hotel. David had serious injuries to his head and was unconscious, he was attended to by local doctors and then taken to Dingwall Hospital by ambulance, where he died the same evening.
